Edit your ICP after the AI draft

Refine titles, industries, geographies, and exclusions to sharpen what your agent finds.

Funkel drafts your ICP from the URL you paste at signup, but the draft is a starting point, not a verdict. Refining it is the single highest-leverage thing you can do for lead quality.

Where to edit

Open the agent and click ICP. You’ll see four groups of filters:

  • Titles, job titles that count as buyers.
  • Industries, verticals the agent should focus on.
  • Company sizes, head-count ranges.
  • Geographies, regions or countries.

Each group accepts include and exclude entries, include Series-A SaaS, exclude recruiting agencies, for example.

How to sharpen each group

Titles

Be specific about seniority. Marketing is too broad; Head of Marketing, VP of Marketing, Director of Demand Gen targets actual buyers. Add common variations: your real buyers don’t all use the same title.

Industries

Use the exact industry names LinkedIn uses (e.g. Computer Software, not SaaS). LinkedIn matches on their taxonomy, not yours.

Company sizes

Pick ranges that match your actual customers. If your sweet spot is 20–200 people, don’t target 1–10 (founders rarely buy your category) or 1000+ (different procurement cycle entirely).

Geographies

Default to where you can actually serve customers. Adding a region you can’t legally sell into wastes outreach.

Test before you commit

After editing, the agent uses the new ICP for everyone it finds going forward. Existing leads in your list are not re-scored. Watch the next 5–10 leads it surfaces, if they don’t feel right, come back and refine. ICP work is iterative.
