Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Funkel collects, uses, and shares information when you use funkel.ai, app.funkel.ai, and the related support, billing, and integration workflows that keep the service running.

1. Data Controller

The controller responsible for your personal data under the GDPR is:

Ogbemudia Terry Osayawe
trading as Osayawe Ventures (Einzelunternehmen)
Hufer Weg 59
51467 Bergisch Gladbach
Germany

Phone: +49 151 20725215. Email: hello@funkel.ai. Operator details and the full Impressum are available on the Legal Notice page. Funkel is a sole proprietorship and has not appointed a Data Protection Officer; for any data-protection questions, contact the controller above directly.

2. Who This Covers

This policy applies to website visitors, prospective and current customers, authorized users of Funkel workspaces, and business contacts whose professional information appears inside Funkel through public signals or customer-directed enrichment.

For your own account, billing, and support data, Funkel acts as the controller. For outreach decisions, lead selection, and campaign logic you operate through Funkel, you remain responsible for the purpose and legality of that processing.

3. What We Collect and Why

Account and identity data. When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, work email address, password hash, auth-provider identifiers, and basic profile details. We use this data to create your account, authenticate you, deliver support, and communicate about your subscription.

Workspace and campaign data. We store the product URL you provide, ICP settings, agent and campaign configuration, approved leads, drafted messages, replies, and connected-account metadata so that Funkel can score intent, draft outreach, and present a working inbox and history inside your workspace.

Business-contact and intent data. Funkel processes public professional information and enrichment data related to leads, including names, job titles, companies, public LinkedIn URLs, public engagement signals, job changes, and similar professional context. We use this data to help customers identify relevant prospects and draft better-timed outreach. You are responsible for complying with the laws and platform terms that govern how you contact people.

Usage, diagnostics, and security data. We collect product-usage logs, diagnostics, and abuse-prevention signals so we can improve performance, troubleshoot failures, secure accounts, and detect misuse.

Billing and communications data. If you buy a paid plan or add-on, Stripe processes your billing information and payment method. We also keep invoice, subscription, and customer-support records, plus transactional email records needed to send billing, trial, and service notices.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to provide and improve Funkel, authenticate users, run billing, operate connected integrations, score signals, draft outreach, surface replies, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

5. Data Sharing and Sub-processors

We do not sell personal information. We share data only where needed to operate the service, including with the following categories of sub-processors:

A complete and current list of sub-processors, including the legal name and registered office of our LinkedIn integration provider, is available on request by emailing hello@funkel.ai.

If you authorize an integration, we may also send relevant data to that destination, such as HubSpot, Slack, Telegram, Zapier, Make, n8n, or a webhook endpoint you control. We may disclose data when required by law, to protect rights and security, or as part of a merger, financing, or asset transfer.

6. Cookies and Analytics

The marketing site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate usage and performance. These run only after you consent via the cookie banner shown on first visit. If you decline, no analytics are loaded. We do not use the marketing site for ad-targeting cookies. The application uses essential authentication and session mechanisms so you can stay signed in and use protected features.

You can change your decision at any time by clicking Cookie settings in the footer, which clears your stored choice and reopens the banner.

7. Retention

We keep account, workspace, lead, and message data for as long as it is needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. We may retain backups, logs, and invoice records for a limited period after cancellation or deletion.

8. International Transfers

Depending on where you are and which providers are involved, your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on contractual or statutory safeguards for cross-border transfers.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict some processing. You can exercise these rights by emailing hello@funkel.ai. If you are a business contact whose professional data appears inside Funkel, you can also use that address to request review or deletion under applicable law. Customers in the European Union additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection supervisory authority.

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted transport, access controls, credential protection, and operational monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may also notify you by email or in-product notice.
