How is Funkel AI different from a lead list?
A lead list gives you names. Funkel AI looks for people who may need you now, for example someone who just started a new job or posted about the problem you solve. It can also start from company data or your own list. It checks that each person fits your buyer profile and keeps the reason they were picked. You see why a person was found before you approve a campaign.
Will my LinkedIn account be safe?
While you have lead budget left, Funkel AI finds people without searching on your LinkedIn account, so your account does far fewer searches. Your LinkedIn account mainly watches for buying signals and sends your messages. Funkel AI also keeps each account under a daily limit, sends at varied times like a person would, and pauses when LinkedIn shows warning signs. This lowers the risk, but it cannot remove it. You are still responsible for following LinkedIn's rules and the law.
Does anything send without my approval?
Nothing sends until you turn the campaign on. After that, the campaign runs by itself, or you can choose to check each message before it goes out. Approving a company search only adds people to a lead list. People found on Hacker News join a LinkedIn campaign only after we find their LinkedIn profile.
Where does Funkel AI find people?
Funkel AI searches more than 1 billion people and 60 million companies from 15+ data sources, with 250+ data points per company. You do not need LinkedIn for this. It can also find people who post about your topic on LinkedIn or X, people mentioned on Hacker News, companies sent from Clay, and companies or people in a CSV file you upload. For each person, it keeps where they came from.
Which actions use credits?
Finding people who match your buyer profile is included in your plan, with no per-lookup fees. Funkel AI shows you the credit cost before it spends credits on contact details. When you search for people at a list of companies, you see an estimate first. Finding the LinkedIn profile of someone from Hacker News uses 4 credits when it succeeds. Finding people on Hacker News uses no credits.
How does the 30-day guarantee work?
You pay for Standard when you sign up. Use Funkel AI for 30 days. If Funkel AI does not find qualified leads matching your approved buyer profile, contact us during that period for a Standard subscription refund.
Can I bring my own list or use Clay?
Yes. Upload a CSV file with company names and their websites or company LinkedIn pages. Choose the roles you want, check the credit estimate, and start the search. You check the results before they go into a lead list. Or connect Clay to one of your products in Funkel AI and paste the link Funkel AI gives you into Clay. Clay then sends company data to Funkel AI for you to check. Receiving data uses no credits. A search starts only after you check what it covers and what it will cost.
Where is my data hosted?
Funkel AI is hosted in the EU, in Sweden. Credentials for connected tools are encrypted with AES-256. A Data Processing Addendum is available on our DPA page.
