Send a manual follow-up from the inbox

Type a reply, attach a Cal link, or hand the conversation back to a workflow.

The inbox is where outbound becomes a conversation. Once a lead replies, you take over, typing back, sending a calendar link, or handing them off to your team.

Open the conversation

Open Inbox from the dashboard nav. Each row is a conversation, ordered by most recent activity. Click to open the thread on the right with the lead’s context: the campaign, the agent, the original signal that triggered outreach.

Send a reply

  1. Type your message in the composer at the bottom.
  2. Optionally attach a file (a deck, a one-pager).
  3. Click Send.

The message goes out from the same LinkedIn sender that ran the original campaign, keeping the conversation on one identity.

Drop in a calendar link

For leads ready to talk, paste a short Cal.com or Calendly URL into your message. Funkel doesn’t shorten links, but LinkedIn’s own preview will render them inline.

Handing a conversation back to a workflow

Replies cancel the rest of the lead’s scheduled steps. If the conversation goes quiet again and you want Funkel to pick the follow-up back up, the cleanest path is: send your manual reply, and if you don’t hear back in a week, send another short manual nudge from the inbox. A workflow won’t auto-resume on the same lead.

Closing a conversation

There’s no “close” button, once a conversation has wrapped up (booked the demo, agreed it’s a no, etc.), it just sits in the inbox in case you ever need to reference it. For demo-booking specifically, mark the lead as won in your CRM; Funkel doesn’t track deal stages.
