Reconnect a disconnected account
What to do when a sender goes offline and how to bring it back online.
A LinkedIn sender can drop offline because the session expired, because you signed out of LinkedIn elsewhere, or because LinkedIn invalidated the token after a security event on its side. None of these mean your data is lost, they just mean Funkel needs a fresh authorization.
Reconnect
- Open Settings → Platform Accounts.
- Find the disconnected sender. It will be marked clearly with a status badge.
- Click Reconnect. You’ll be sent through the same secure authorization flow you used originally.
- Once the tab closes, the sender returns to connected and pending actions resume.
What happens to pending actions while it’s offline
Scheduled invites and messages wait. They don’t fail and they don’t fall off the schedule, they just don’t send until the sender is back online. Funkel will fire them in order once you reconnect.
If reconnect keeps failing
Two common causes:
- You’re signed into a different LinkedIn account in the same browser. Sign out of LinkedIn, then click Reconnect: the authorization page will let you sign in with the correct account.
- LinkedIn has flagged the account for review. Open LinkedIn directly, check for a warning, and resolve any verification prompts. Then come back and click Reconnect.
If you’d rather replace the account
Remove the disconnected sender and connect a fresh one. Campaigns that were assigned to the removed sender become unassigned, you’ll need to assign them to a new sender before they resume.
