Connect a LinkedIn account

Step-by-step: how to authorize a sender and finish account setup.

A sender is the LinkedIn account that sends invites and messages on your behalf. You connect senders once; Funkel uses them across every campaign you assign them to.

Connect your first sender

  1. Open Settings → Platform Accounts.
  2. Click + Connect LinkedIn.
  3. A new tab opens with a secure authorization page. Sign in with the LinkedIn account you want to send from.
  4. Approve the connection. The tab closes automatically and the account appears in Platform Accounts as connected.

What gets stored

Funkel stores enough to route sends and webhooks through the connected sender: your LinkedIn name, public ID, provider account ID, and account metadata. We never store your LinkedIn password. You can revoke access anytime by removing the account.

Sender states

  • Pending, authorization started but not finished. Click reconnect to resume.
  • Connected, ready to send.
  • Disconnected. Funkel lost the session (you signed out of LinkedIn elsewhere, or LinkedIn invalidated the token). Reconnect to bring it back.

Common gotchas

  • Use the same browser profile you signed into LinkedIn with, pop-up blockers and aggressive privacy extensions sometimes break the auth flow.
  • If you have a LinkedIn Sales Navigator seat, connect that account so Funkel can detect the tier and use InMail or richer profile lookup where applicable.
  • Don’t share a single LinkedIn account across team members. Each operator should connect their own.
